The Law of the Four Just Men
Edgar Wallace
Read by Andy Sames
The first six of the stories in this collection were originally published under the title "Some Adventures of the Four Just Men" in The Strand Magazine in 1921. This collection of stories is practically a portmanteau. Each story is complete within its own chapter, but there are small links between them that bring them together. Time has moved on for our Just men; Poiccart seems to be on semi-permanent hiatus on his farm in France, but Manfred and Gonsalez venture out from their flat in Jermyn Street to meet challenges wrought by the criminal fraternity. - Summary by Andy Sames

I’m so pleased that Andy decided to read this last instalment of the Four Just Men. The distinction of the accents between Leon and Georges makes listening so much more interesting and easy. The collection of short stories shows the flexibility and variety of the solutions to injustice that the men pursue. They also expand on the characters of Leon and Georges and let us see how they work together and separately. Great book.
