Another AKG mystery murder. Very nice. Reader Carolin is one of the best on LibriVox. Yes a bit different set of tones and rhythms than expected. A mispronounced word now and then but so wonderful as a whole is she that once a listener gets this then more books read by her will be wanted.

Surprising!

Carolin does an excellent job reading this mystery for Librivox. I was caught off guard by the ending . . . AKG's characters spend a lot of time self-analyzing and this book is no different.

intriguing

slow start, good ending

For most of this book, I could not have cared less about the mystery or the people involved. But somehow, the ending was satisfactory! I thought the reader's cadence was a little slow, so I just sped up the audio. I like Anna Katherine Green and I was a little surprised by my disinterest in this story.

Excellent reading

This is a short story with some neat twists. You think the story is going in one direction, when you are surprised by the new direction. I enjoyed this book when I read it on Gutenberg, so it was a pleasure to hear it brought to life by Carolin. She did an excellent job.
